Ash Wednesday

This Wednesday is the beginning of Lent and an important day of worship and reflection in the Christian year. There are three opportunities for you to participate in this devotional opportunity.

At Concord:

In the Sanctuary will be a self-paced time of silence and reflection. A guided devotion, as well as music and images, will be available to help guide you through an opportunity for scripture reading, prayer, and reflection. Pastor Liz will be available to offer both ashes and communion.

Offered between the hours of 10am-11am and 7pm-8pm.

Downtown:

The Lent Team will be offering valentines, candy, and ashes to any one interested in Ashes-to-Go downtown in front of Steve Hill’s new museum (on Center Street across from the Old Courthouse). You can stop by here beginning at 3pm. We will play the end time by ear as interest dictates.

At Home:

Can’t participate in person? A version of the devotion is available without the communion service for at-home worship. Click here and one will be sent to you!
